Terms of Service
Last updated: November 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Dwayne Baines, doing business as AAA Tracker Apps ("we", "us"), for the Accountability Buddy apps for phone and watch (the "App").
1. What the App does
You set an alarm, a goal (heart rate held for a set time, or a number of steps), a time window, and a stake from $2 to $20. If you reach your goal in time, you owe nothing. If you don't, you agree to pay the stake you chose.
2. When you are charged
You are charged your stake when an alarm ends because you: gave up, took off or turned off your watch, stopped before your goal, did not reach your goal in the time window, or (for a daily step goal) did not reach your steps by the end time. A free pass earned with a 10-day streak covers one miss. Free passes can't be stacked and expire 10 days after they're earned.
Misses are added up and billed to your saved payment method once a week, on Mondays. Test alarms never charge you. If you have no saved payment method, the App runs in practice mode and nothing is charged. If your heart rate is already high when the alarm goes off, the App raises that day's target to 30 bpm above it.
2a. Trainers and gym partners
If you join a trainer with their code, your trainer can see your name, streak, recent results and goal, and 40% of each stake you're charged, after card processing fees, goes to your trainer. You can stop sharing with your trainer at any time in the App. Trainers are independent and are not our employees. Trainers are paid their share monthly, only for stakes that were actually charged.
Friends can hold you accountable too. If you accept a friend's weekly or one-day challenge, you agree to pay the price per missed day you both see in the App, your friend can see your name and whether you met each day's goal, and your friend receives 20% of each miss you're charged for, after card processing fees. Only your watch or phone sensors decide a miss; your friend can't mark you as missed. You can end a challenge at any time.
Gym deals are offered by partner gyms. Your gym membership is a contract between you and the gym; we don't handle gym payments. When you tap a gym deal, we let the gym know you came from the App so we can be paid for the referral.
3. Your payment method
Payments are processed by Braintree, a PayPal service. We never see or store your full card number. You can change or remove your payment method in the App at any time. If a charge fails, we may try again after you update your payment method.
4. Refunds
If the App charged you because of a technical problem (for example a watch sensor failure or an App crash), email aaatrackerapp@gmail.com within 14 days and we'll review it and refund it if the problem was on our side.
5. Health and safety
The App is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice. Talk to a doctor before starting an exercise program. Don't set heart rate goals that are unsafe for you. Stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. Heart rate readings from watches can be inaccurate.
6. Your account
You must be at least 18 to use stakes. Keep your password private. You can delete your account in the App at any time. Deleting your account does not cancel stakes you already owe: they are charged immediately, and the account is deleted only after that charge succeeds.
7. Our app and content
The App, its name, design and code belong to Dwayne Baines, doing business as AAA Tracker Apps. Don't copy, reverse engineer or resell it.
8. Limits on our responsibility
The App is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always work without errors, that every sensor reading is correct, or that an alarm will always go off (for example if your watch or phone is off, out of battery or out of range). To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the stakes you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are important, we'll tell you in the App before they apply.
